Thu 07 Feb Arrival Cairo
Upon arriving in Cairo we will be met by our guide and transferred to our hotel in Cairo to rest up before our amazing journey begins!
Fri 08 Feb Cairo
This morning we begin with a visit to the incredible Egyptian Museum. The museum holds an astonishing array of archaeological finds, but nothing compares to the exquisite riches of Tutankhamun, whose death-mask is magnificent!
Then we will proceed to the Giza Plateau, where the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World is found – the imposing Pyramids of Giza. During your visit to the pyramids you will have time for unique photo opportunities including the Mighty Sphinx. (B,L)
Sat 09 Feb Cairo
This morning we will visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Sakkara, the oldest stone structure known to man.
After lunch we will walk through El Moez Street and with the Textile Museum. The Egyptian Textile Museum may indeed be one of the best-cared for museums in Cairo. Afterwards, we will walk through the exotic and colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the worlds oldest bazaars! We will cap our day off with a visit to the Spice Market ‘Al Ataren’, where you will have time to wander and explore. (B,L)
Sun 10 Feb Luxor
Today we will transfer from the hotel to the airport to fly to Luxor. Upon arrival we will transfer to you your hotel and enjoy lunch at AL Marsam Unique Hotel at the West Bank of Luxor. The afternoon will be free for leisure (B,L)
Mon 11 Feb Cruise the Nile
After breakfast we will transfer to our luxury Cruise for the next 4 nights. There is no better way to get a sense of the life of the local people than to float along the Nile on our lovely cruise. Today we will tour the ancient marvel that is the Karnak temple. The largest religious structure ever built and over 2000 years old, this temple is truly amazing! After lunch will visit Deir El Madina, an ancient Egyptian village which was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. We will also visit the village tomb of Senedgem and Valley of Nobles tomb of Ramosa. (B,L,D)
Tue 12 Feb Cruise the Nile
We will start our day by a breathtaking ballooning ride over Luxor city. Then we will transfer to West Bank, where we will ride Donkeys to the Temple of Hatshepsut. The mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut of Dynasty XVIII was built just north of the Middle Kingdom temple of Mentuhotep Nebhepetre in the bay of cliffs known as Deir el-Bahri. Hatshepsut’s construction surpasses anything which had been built before both in its architecture and its beautiful carved reliefs. We will next visit the Valley of the Kings where hundreds of tombs, including that of Tutankhamun, were carved into the desert rock. The rest of the day is free to enjoy cruising the Nile (B,L,D)
Wed 13 Feb Cruise the Nile
After breakfast on board we will visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best preserved temple on the Nile. Sail to Kom-Ombo where we visit the temples of Horus the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god. (B,L,D)
Thu 14 Feb Cruise the Nile
Morning visit to Temple of Philae a temple remarkably preserved by UNESCO and the Egyptian government in the 1960’s. We next visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens and the Nubian village. (B,L,D)
Fri 15 Feb Aswan
Today you may either choose a free day or join us on the optional excursion to Abu Simbal.
OPTIONAL: At Abu Simbel we will visit the temples of the great Ramses II and his Queen, Nefertari. These temples received world-wide attention in 1968 when they were completely dismantled and relocated to avoid inundation. This really is a must see!
We will transfer from our cruise to the Old Cataract hotel, arguably the most iconic hotel in Egypt. Agatha Christie wrote her famous novel Death on the Nile here! This stunning property boasts a wonderful verandah overlooking the Nile and is the perfect place to enjoy a sunset cocktail! (B)
Sat 16 Feb Cairo
Today we will fly back from Aswan to Cairo. Upon arrival we will check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing and/or enjoying additional sightseeing. (B)
Sun 17 Feb Departure home or onward to Amman
Early morning flight from Aswan to Cairo to connect with your flight home or on to Jordan. (B)

Mon 18 Feb Petra
Today we will begin with a private tour of Amman, visiting the Citadel, the Roman theater, the old Souq, along with the old and new part of Amman. Next we will drive to visit the Byzantine Church of Mt. Nebo, and then proceed to Madaba where we will see a unique Mosaic Map of Palestine, and continue to Petra for an overnight stay. (B)
Tue 19 Feb Wadi Rum
Today we spend a full day dedicated to visiting the lost Nabteans city of Petra. We begin with a morning ride on a Bedouins guided horse were we’ll pass through fabled SIQ, an immense sandstone, which opens out to reveal the treasury. We will continue on to see hundreds of ancient Temples, Royal Tombs, Roman theatres and houses. We will then depart to the magical desert of Wadi Rum, home of “Lawrence of Arabia”. Tonight we stay and dine in an amazing Bedouin tented village. (B, D)
Wed 20 Feb Dead Sea
After our Bedouin breakfast we will enjoy a tour by 4×4 with a local Bedouin driver in the desert of Wadi rum. We then drive down 400 meters below sea level and experience an unforgettable swim in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. (B)
Thur 21 Feb Departure
After breakfast we transfer back to the Amman International airport for our journey home. (B)
