Welcome to Thailand, the famously warm and welcoming “Land of Smiles.” Upon arrival in Bangkok, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax after your journey or begin exploring the energy and atmosphere of Thailand’s vibrant capital at your own pace. (B)


Saturday, November 21 | Bangkok

Begin the day with breakfast before heading to Baipai Thai Cooking School for a private, hands-on culinary experience. Set in a tranquil, open-air Thai-style home surrounded by gardens, this immersive class introduces you to traditional ingredients, techniques, and flavours. Prepare authentic Thai dishes from scratch at your own cooking station, guided by experienced instructors, and enjoy the meal you’ve created.

In the evening, discover Bangkok after dark on a cultural and culinary tuk-tuk adventure. Zip through lively streets to sample some of the city’s best-loved local dishes, from regional specialties to celebrated street food favourites. Along the way, admire illuminated landmarks such as Wat Pho, stroll through the bustling Pak Klong Talad flower market, and end the night with a drink by the river, soaking in views of the Chao Phraya and the glowing Temple of Dawn. Sunday, November 22 | Bangkok

This morning, enjoy a private cooking experience at the renowned Blue Elephant Thai Cooking School. Begin with a guided visit to a local market to learn about Thai ingredients before returning for demonstrations and hands-on preparation. Cook and enjoy a selection of classic Thai dishes for lunch.

In the afternoon, explore Bangkok’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Visit Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha, and wander the magnificent Grand Palace complex. Continue to Wat Pho, where the famous Reclining Buddha and Thailand’s earliest centre of traditional medicine await. (B, L)


Monday, November 23 | Bangkok

Travel beyond the city today to experience two of Thailand’s most famous markets. Visit the Maeklong Railway Market, where vendors swiftly clear their stalls as trains pass directly through the marketplace. Continue on to the lively Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, browsing long-tail boats selling fresh produce and local snacks. Stop at a coconut farm to learn how traditional coconut sugar is made and enjoy a tasting.

After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Bangkok for a relaxed evening at leisure. (B, L)


Tuesday, November 24 | Bangkok – Ayutthaya

Journey north to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the city’s remarkable temple ruins, offering a powerful glimpse into Thailand’s royal past and architectural grandeur. Visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, an elegant royal retreat showcasing a fascinating blend of Thai, Chinese, and European architectural styles.

Wednesday, November 25 | Ayutthaya

Today blends history, craftsmanship, and cuisine in a thoughtfully curated experience. Begin at the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, home to extraordinary artifacts from Ayutthaya’s golden era. Continue with an authentic Thai appetizer workshop, learning traditional techniques and recipes passed down through generations. After the hands-on experience, enjoy a beautifully prepared Thai lunch at Suriyan Chandra, a heritage riverside restaurant housed in a restored historic rice mill.

Thursday, November 26 | Ayutthaya – Bangkok – Chiang Mai

After breakfast, transfer to Bangkok Airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, enjoy time at leisure before heading out in the evening for a guided foodie experience. Explore Chang Puak Market and the lively Night Bazaar, sampling a variety of traditional northern Thai dishes and local desserts while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Chiang Mai after dark. Spend the morning connecting with Thailand’s gentle giants at an ethical elephant sanctuary just outside Chiang Mai. Learn about the elephants’ individual stories and the sanctuary’s commitment to responsible care and conservation. Enjoy meaningful, hands-on interactions such as feeding the elephants and, weather permitting, assisting with their bath as they cool off and play in the water. This unforgettable experience offers a deeper understanding of these remarkable animals while supporting their well-being in a safe, respectful environment.

In the afternoon, visit Doi Suthep, one of Thailand’s most sacred temples. Perched high above the city, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep offers sweeping views over Chiang Mai and a powerful sense of spiritual history tied to local legend. (B)
